We love to read our daughters' blogs. They actually help us keep up with them, and the pictures are fun--we can go back to them whenever we want. And the best part is seeing our granddaughter, Anna-Jane, who lives far away in Colorado. Between the web-cam visits and blogs, we feel a bit closer than just by phone. So, since we enjoy their blogs, we've decided to try blogging, too.

Not So Retired!

Retiring sounds relaxing, like 'I'm retiring to the solarium, Geeves,' or 'when I retire, I'm moving to (name your happy place)...' So, I retired from one job, and now I've started a new one, so maybe retiring was just a temporary frame of mind...

I should have remembered that the brain is slower after 50! Old dog and new tricks and all those cliches. BUT, I am really enjoying working at the Waco VA, and I REALLY like working with the veterans. We owe them so much gratitude for fighting for our freedom. In fact, November 11 is Veteran's Day. I think there is a parade that day, but I will know more later. If you have never driven through the Waco VA grounds, you are missing a beautiful campus (just don't speed!).
